AuthenTrend positions ATKey.Card NFC as a multi-protocol enterprise authenticator

The 0.8 mm battery-free card combines fingerprint verification with FIDO2, PIV/PKI and smart-card interfaces.

The current product

AuthenTrend lists ATKey.Card NFC as a credit-card-sized, battery-free authenticator using NFC and smart-card interfaces. The company specifies FIDO2, U2F and PIV/PKI support, plus MIFARE Type A and optional digital-business-card functions.

Why multiple protocols matter

Enterprises rarely replace every authentication system at once. A card that spans web authentication and established smart-card infrastructure can support phased migration, provided the exact middleware, readers and identity platforms are validated.

Card versus badge

AuthenTrend also offers ATKey.Badge, which places the card in a USB-C holder. That holder changes connectivity and physical handling, but the card itself remains a passive 0.8 mm product according to the published specification.

What to verify in a trial

Test fingerprint enrollment, NFC placement, PIV middleware, FIDO policy, lost-card recovery and performance across every operating system in scope. Compatibility logos are a starting point, not a substitute for an end-to-end pilot.
